Tanjila Islam is the CEO & Founder of TigerTrade, a B2B marketplace and end-to-end supply chain solution for the global trade of excess fashion inventory. TigerTrade is building a blockchain trade facilitation platform, from vendor verification and merchandise authentication to payments and logistics, to make international trade more transparent, secure, and accessible. An international trade and economic development expert, Tanjila has designed and managed large-scale economic growth and trade programs in Asia, including Indonesia, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh, for the U.S. Agency for International Development and the World Bank. She is also an Adjunct Professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she teaches courses on International Trade. Tanjila holds a B.A. from Columbia College, M.A. in Near Eastern Studies from NYU, and M.I.A. in International Economic Policy from the Columbia School of International and Public Affairs. She speaks Arabic, Bengali, English, and Spanish.
